My family were very keen on Ballroom and Latin dancing and, as a very small child, I would be woken up late in the evening to come downstairs to watch "Come Dancing" back in the 60's! How magical that seemed to me! I didn't work towards medals or take it up professionally and so other distractions quickly took over as I hurtled through my teens. Fast forward a few decades and I have returned to the passion of my early years. What a joy to find Chasamba! My partner is not interested in dancing in any way, shape or form and it was a huge release to be able to go to un-partnered classes, get fit and have fun at the same time. Now that I've stopped teaching it seems logical for me to start my own Chasamba class. A no-brainer even!
My close family has had far too many brushes with serious illness in the the past few years. An hour of dance fitness per week - which quickly grew to two hours-forced my mind to other things and I can recommend it to anyone who has been through a rough patch. Come to Chasamba- and you will leave smiling!
